Finding and keeping Christian friends

About a year ago, my husband and I moved to a new house in a new city. We had a huge living room and a large kitchen with a center island— perfect for entertaining. He encourages us to meet with each other, to pray with each other, to eat with each other, to celebrate with each other. So how do we get to these God-given friendships and how do we continue to strengthen those bonds?
